Well I know iv'e done things that hurt you lord
I even spoke words against you Lord
And even though I turned my back you was with me Lord
I thank God for the gifts that You give me Lord
I serve one God He's a God thats alive
And I pray when people look at me they see You in my eyes
How many times have I failed fall flat upon my face
Tripping over my own shoestrings I never bothered to lace
Thats a metaphor I use to describe my wicked days
To busy with the world I was caught up in it's ways
Like i'm running in a race and i'm taking last place
To You Lord I swear I must be such a disgrace
But through the love of Your Son and His amazing grace
All my sins have been forgotten everyone has been erased
Now it's heaven I can taste I proclaim this is true
I'm an heir to The Kingdom and so are all of you


I can still remember a time God wasn't always on my mind
in fact I pushed Him back behind and I couldn't wait to cut in line
just to cut my own throat then I wish I could go back in time
cause thats when I was spiritually broke
Oh how I hope that ya'll hear this then recognize sincereness
Good bye to this world yep I tell it good riddance
Besides who wants rags when they could have riches
Lord this is my prayer it's a prayer of repentance
I'm sick of straddling both sides of the fences
And through my offenses I've been living deaths sentence
Could I ask ya'll to listen and please pay attention
Take a look at the world cause somethings been missing
Take a look at our children some still covered and dirty
and they'll continue hurting cause thy don't know Jesus
And thats just the way it's gone be unless we intercede
And by we I mean you and I and her and he

You reap what you sow I speak what I know
as for me and my family we keep the Lord close
See this body is the host I love the Holy Ghost
He the one inspired me to write the words I wrote
So if you were to die today where would you go
Is it a guess are you sure I mean do you really know
As for me I need certainty cause eternity is certainly
To long for me to keep on burning my soul
And if you feel the same well with both eyes closed
After a set I show you a prayer yeah I teach you how it goes
Then we'll say welcome to the family so glad to see you make it
Us in Christ we've been waiting here oh so patient
And were trying to reach a world that seems just beyond our nation
Through these trials and tribulations you got to stay faithful
Cause no matter what your facing see His word says this
