Been gone for a minute now i'm back on the map
I got my shoes laced tight plan on running this track
I had some things messed up from the crew that I ran with
And at the time I didn't know it but now I understand this
Theres demons in this world full of selfish schemes
And they filling up their pockets and belly's on peoples dreams Motivated only by the essence of money and greed
And they blend in oh so easily
I must admit I was stooped yeah fooled by the best
And I was starting to blend in and look just like the rest
of the world from which you called me to be set apart from
Lord im sorry right now feel like the prodigal son
Let me come home Daddy cause im missing Your arms
Need to feel Your touch right now could You clear up this storm Did things on my own for way to long And now it's all messed up could you hold me strong
I'll go ima give it all and I won't slow
Ima show the world what they don't know
Ima be the one ima be the one when im done
When I make it higher If I made it this far
I can make it anywhere
No wonder i'm having trouble No wonder it was a battle
I was shining as bright as I could and barely casting shadows Thinking I could still hustle nothing wrong with flexing muscle Whole time I didnt trust You and the words that I read That said you really cared Knew me to the core
Had my number down to the very hair But You were always there in the air I breathe Watching over me protecting me from these evil things Lesson learned
Some things You knew I needed to see in order to produce a change in me And finaly now im starting to see
Inadvertantly I thank you G I pray for you hope you pray for me Might never see a day in this life where we make things right between us But you best believe ima catch you on the other side in the midst of Jesus shrugging off these trivial reasons that brought us about these problems in the first place If saints can't even get along why would anybody want to jump on and ride this thing on out to the end you called me brother I called you friend even went as far as twin said you loved me I believed you then?
I'll go ima give it all and I won't slow
Ima show the world what they don't know
Ima be the one ima be the one when im done
When I make it higher If I made it this far
I can make it anywhere
